Our dental team consists of a group of wonderful people here to serve your needs from the moment you walk into our practice. You’ll feel comfortable and cared for throughout your visit. Not only will you receive the best possible care for your dental needs, our team will also provide the best support in understanding your insurance benefits and how to coordinate everything you may need.
The entire team stays up to date with the latest techniques, research and technologies to see how they will benefit you, our patient. Your oral health is our first priority. Here’s a little more about our dental family.
“This team is amazingly capable, helpful, friendly, only good things. Been a customer over a year and always felt cared for. Dr Loftin and staff are super professional and fun to be around. I honestly look forward to going there which is different than any dental office I’d been to previously. Really great experience with everyone there!”
An RDA is a Registered Dental Assistant and an RDAEF is a Registered Dental Assistant Extended Functions. The RDAEF goes through an additional year of school and must pass a State Board exam with their dentist to be accredited this title. They work closer with Dr. Loftin. Think of them like a physician’s assistant. It’s a unique position within the team and they work very hard for this certification. We are overjoyed and thankful to have Tisha!
RDAEFs allow us to be more agile in our practice and to attend to more patients in need of complex procedures. This includes fillings, adjusting dentures and other services. Each RDAEF works closely with Dr. Loftin and are fully capable for these and other advanced treatments.
Dr. Loftin attended the University of California at Berkeley for his undergraduate education and then the University Of California School Of Dentistry at San Francisco (UCSF). At UCSF, Dr. Loftin expanded his education by becoming laser certified and practicing minimally invasive dentistry which is a highly used conservative approach in keeping patients’ mouths healthy. Post-graduation he continued to add to his education and received certifications in Cosmetic Dentistry, Invisalign, implant placement and restoration, and oral conscious sedation. During the last 15 years, Dr. Loftin has had a multitude of successful cases, from simple restorations to cosmetic veneers all the way to full mouth rehabilitations. He is well versed in general dentistry, cosmetic procedures and more complex mouth reconstruction. Dr. Loftin has been an active member of the California Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the Academy of General Dentistry.
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Loftin enjoys golf and being a parent coach for Jaxon’s Flag Football team. He also loves quiet time and wine tasting with Zulay in Napa, Sonoma or Carmel. The family looks forward to their annual getaway to Lake Almanor each summer but also hopes to visit new spots in the next year including the Florida Keys, Costa Rica and Greece!
As an avid golfer, Dr. Loftin can be found playing a few holes at Oakhurst or with his dad at the course near his father’s home in Ione. Zulay is considering lessons to join in on the fun!
And it cannot go unsaid that Dr. Loftin has been a BIG Niners fan virtually since he was little!
Dr. Loftin is a gentle and caring Doctor that will work with you to ensure you are receiving the treatment that best suits your needs. He feels privileged to care for children, adults and those with special needs.

We are truly excited to have Dr. Michael Lin as our Associate General Dentist. This is in response to your requests for more opportunities to come in for your care (we heard you!) and the on-going growth of our practice. And it’s thanks to YOU and our AMAZING team for your ongoing support and loyalty. We are truly grateful.
We took this search very seriously and spent significant time to research candidates with our colleagues. It was important to find the absolute perfect fit for our practice, our team and our goal of providing the best quality care for our patients.
Dr. Lin was born and raised in Houston, Texas and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences. After more than six years as an engineer, Dr. Lin realized his true calling in life was dentistry. He moved forward with this new vision completing his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, located in San Francisco. That was followed by a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency in Oakland the following year.
Dr. Lin’s passion in dentistry comes from his belief in treating patients like he would his own family. He loves working with patients to find solutions to their needs, whether it’s relieving their pain or improving their smile. In his free time, Dr. Lin enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and rooting for his alma mater Michigan Wolverines and his hometown Houston Rockets.
Besides Dr. Lin’s general support at Loftin Dental, his expertise allows us to now offer root canal procedures. You may no longer have to travel to another specialist for this need.
Welcome, Dr. Lin!
The thing you immediately notice about Zulay is her passion for the patients and staff at Loftin Dental. For over 15 years, she’s been running the practice with a focus on creating a warm and inviting environment for all. Zulay will tell you that the best part of her day is working with her husband and the amazing Loftin team while caring for patients. A graduate of College Park High School and Saint Mary’s College, Zulay has a CPA degree and excels in marketing and HR. When not working, she enjoys time with family, yoga and hiking! Her greatest achievement is balancing happiness at work and at home with her husband Todd and son, Jaxon.
Zulay is also Chair of the Board for the Greater Chamber of Commerce.

The first thing to know about Jaxon is that he loves the 49ers almost as much as he loves his chocolate lab, Shasta! He loves collecting autographed memorabilia. When Jaxon is not in school or playing football, he’s learning more about the game and how to be a better player. Jaxon is also the official ambassador of Loftin Kids Cavity Free Club. For all kids who don’t have cavities, we’ll enter their name into a monthly drawing for prizes ranging from gift cards for Barnes & Noble, iTunes, Yogurt Shack, Disney, Claire’s, Game Stop to movie tickets and more!
Q: What’s your super power?
A: His super strength (says Mom)!
Q: Your favorite vacation?

Jannie has happily been a Hygienist since 1983 and has been working with Dr. Martin since 1984. She went to DVC and is currently part of the American Dental Hygienist Association and the Mt. Diablo Dental Hygiene Association. Jannie has always been interested in health. One of her friends was a dental hygienist and inspired her to follow into this industry. This was a great choice, as she truly enjoys her patients, especially visiting with them and helping them improve their oral health. When she’s not at the practice, she has her grandkids to keep her and her husband busy, along with her loves of photography and dancing.
We are lucky to have had Heather with us for sometime now, first as a patient and now as our Hygienist. She went to school locally at Diablo Valley College. We get to see her kids, Michael, Makayla and Kayla, regularly but now they get their teeth cleaned by mom! The part of her job she finds most rewarding is being a part of her patient’s journey from having disease to having a healthy mouth. The benefits are endless and she likes knowing she’s a part of that process. Her goal is to give you the best experience possible and to keep you healthy! When she’s not with us, she likes going on weekend trips with her family or just hanging out at home. Her husband Josh teaches CPR. He and Heather recently trained and renewed the Loftin staff’s certification!
The best part of my job is our patients! I love meeting all our patients and getting to know them. I truly enjoy the time spent and conversations with them. While oral and overall health is our #1 priority, the relationship we have with our patients sets Loftin Dental apart from other dental offices.
Q: What do you like to do in your time off?
A: Time off is spent with my husband Ben and son, Tyler. We have 2 rescue dogs, a chihuahua and a Staffordshire Terrier. They are spoiled rotten and more like children than pets. I am a HUGE dog lover and advocate for rescuing. I wish I could take them all!
Q: Favorite Movie?
A: Thomas Crown Affair
We are excited to have Jamie back at Loftin Dental! She was born and raised in Pittsburg and is a 2012 graduate of DVC. When not working, Jamie loves to travel, camp and hike with fiancé, Jesse! They are enjoying being first time owners too!
Q: Tell us about working at Loftin.
A: Not only do we all work hard to take care of our patients, but we have fun too! I look forward to coming to work!
Q: You’re a baseball fan?
A: Yes and very excited to see the Dodgers win the World Series in 2020!
Wendi has been with us since 2017. She’s been an RDA for about 20 years having received her training at Loma Vista. She loves laughing with patients and making them smile. When not working, Wendi spends time painting and cooking. She considers her greatest achievement her two kids, Rayce and Silas with husband, Chris! They’re family recently became a bird family with pets, Pi and Coco!
Q: What’s your superpower?
A: All the kiddos love me at work. I’m goofy and everyone calls me “Bubbles” at work because I’m always happy.
Q: How would you describe the atmosphere at Loftin?
A: Very fun and comfortable.
Izzy started in January 2020 as an RDA. The best part of Izzy’s day at Loftin is her time with patients and co-workers who, as Izzy shares, are kind and hard working. She turned the big 2-1 this year with a fun Vegas themed celebration with her co-workers! During her time off, Izzy likes to travel, camp and visit beaches and lakes where she can swim!
Q: What fun talents did you enjoy during school?
A: I used to cheer!
Q: What social media do you enjoy?
A: TikTok is fun now and then!
Tisha has over 20 years of dental experience, including 7 years as an RDAEF2. A resident of Hercules, Tisha is married and has 2 beautiful boys. She has a passion for learning and embracing her inner nerd. She loves all animals, secretly sometimes more than people! Tisha recently started to learn to play the piano!
Q: Do you like scary movies?
A: I’m terrified of them and will have nightmares if I watch them!
Q: Where’s your favorite place to escape?
A: I love the lake or beach where I can relax and do all my deep thinking.
Kelly loves everything about her job but especially providing patients the proper information to use their insurance and stay healthy! She’s also appreciating the short commute to Loftin and the fun atmosphere there. When she’s not at work, you can find Kelly playing with her dogs, Dani and Parker and her cat, Sammie – all girls! Her kids are Sarah, Mark and August. She has a great singing voice and another fun fact, Kelly and her twin were dancers in high school and opened for RUNDMC!
A: Carrie Underwood or Rush.
Q: What’s your favorite holiday?
A: Thanksgiving because of the food, especially the candied yams and Brussel sprouts!
Imaani has been with Loftin for over a year now while also attending DVC to earn her business degree. She’s a terrific singer and would love to learn to play the piano, too!
A: My dream vacation would be a trip to Spain.
Established in 2012.
We were honored to work with Dr. Albert Martin, Jr., DDS as he transitioned into retirement in August 2014. Since then, he and his wife, Renee, still come to visit for their regular dental checkups and catch up lunches. After 30 years serving patients, Dr. Martin now gets to enjoy more quality time with family as well as traveling with Renee. When he made it official, we held a small retirement dinner for Dr. Martin and our team where we presented him with a signed framed picture – his first team and his most recent. We had the picture up in our practice for awhile gathering as many signatures as we could! We also ‘retired’ one of his jackets and placed his last name and the year he retired on the back of it.
Before Dr. Martin’s retirement, he and Dr. Loftin had monthly lunches where they would talk and get to know each other as people and as clinicians. Because it was important to both of them to have a smooth transition, Dr. Loftin began working one day per week, side by side with Dr. Martin, getting to know his future patients and team. This went on for 2 years. Then yay – the time came and Dr. Loftin started officially serving our local community.
Dr. Loftin has years of experience working in multiple locations and found the Concord location a perfect location for his practice. He and Zulay are very excited to work with this exceptional team and to continue the great service that Dr. Martin has provided. So even though we are “newer”, we have a long history in this community and we’re excited to keep growing. We’re looking forward to the next 30 years +!
