In this video, we see Dr. Loftin using the Glidewell system displaying a precise model where he is able to preview its placement in three dimensions to ensure a proper fit.
Crowns in a Day
With Glidewell’s fastmill.io, Dr. Loftin and our team are able to scan impressions (no more goopy impression material) with our iTero Element 5D Scanner to design, create and make your next crown! We now just need about an hour to prepare the area, then the mill needs about an hour to make your crown. During this time, you’re welcome to go home, go for a walk or run an errand. Then we ask you come back…YES THE SAME DAY… and we place the crown. And you’re done!
Gone are the days of having to go home with a temporary crown and waiting a week or longer for your permanent crown. No more having the shade be off or having it not fit quite right and having to send your crown back to the lab for corrections.
Best of all, there is virtually no pain. Hurray for modern anesthetics.
